As an international artist with numerous
one-man shows, his work is represented in 10
major galleries and distinguished private
and corporate collections.
There is no limit placed on the ability of
the student. Drawing skills and experience
are not required. The student may be an
absolute beginner or an experienced artist.
Patience and consideration will be given to
both. Most of his classes include two
instructors so all students will receive
proper hands-on instruction.
About the Artist:
To become an artist, Carlo took a separate
and diverse path. He began drawing at an
early age and decided while still a young
man to explore his talent and insight and to
study the great artists on his own. He spent
an extensive amount of time studying in
Florence, Italy with Angelo Ferrelli, a
master in realism. DiNapoli has always been
more interested in discovering things –
solving technical problems and developing
his own style after detailed study of the
masters. His study path to his current level
of achievement was a more difficult and
longer route, but a better one, DiNapoli
says, for solidifying his individual
diversity.
“Becoming an artist is a wonderful
experience,” says DiNapoli. “To create art,
one needs not only the ability to draw along
with the temperament and sensitivity to art,
but the willingness to work extremely hard.
This is one of my strengths; I am willing
and able to work very hard and study in my
effort to create.” DiNapoli’s hard work has
paid off. His paintings are in many private
collections throughout the world.
With each painting, DiNapoli strives to
create a canvas, an expression of life, that
is better than any he has ever done before.
“In each painting you discover something on
which you can build. All of my work is the
result of a series of continual
experiences.” His communication and
rendering are important to him, but DiNapoli
says, “First comes the striving for
perfection – I explore, study and search
constantly.”
DiNapoli is known the world over for his
paintings of wildlife, portraits,
landscapes, seascapes, abstract, etc. Oil is
his main love. His studies at Tulane and
Loyola Universities as well as in Florence,
Italy were the groundwork for this
diversity.
Like other great artists, DiNapoli is
an eclectic figure who manages to do great
things with just about everything he
touches. His family calls it the “midas
touch”. He’s a published author of novels,
poetry and children’s books as well as their
illustrations. Passing from one genre to the
next is like child’s play – all that changes
is the means of expression, not the
expression itself.
The average retail price of his paintings
are $3900 to $39,000 for large commissions.
His most enjoyable endeavor is sculpture
which is hand-carved from marble and
patined in a golden bronze according to the
ancient method.

Renee Constantine DiNapoli
-
Professional Artist,
Instructor
There is abundant
joy in the work of artist, Renee Constantine
DiNapoli. Her delight in art is readily
apparent in her oil paintings. Having
traveled frequently to the Caribbean, she
succeeds in imparting a sense of place and
mood with intense use of color and exquisite
detail. Being a realist, she feels there is
no more expression than to try to capture
the beauty of the islands as they are.
Renee’s striking oil
paintings have received critical acclaim for
their high contrast, unusually intense use
of color and exquisite detail. Her ability
to achieve both impact and delicacy in her
paintings attests to her training with
Italian master, Carlo DiNapoli.
Trained in fine art at several academies,
Renee began painting seriously when she sold
her publishing and distributing company.
Renee feels the turning point of her career
came when she joined her husband/mentor,
Carlo DiNapoli of DiNapoli Studios where she
began to concentrate heavily on her craft.
As a professional artist, oil is Renee’s
medium of choice because she feels that she
can control it and use it to best create the
effect of light on her subjects. Her goal is
to create beautiful images that glow with
light and to continue to take on new
challenges and opportunities. She enjoys
not only painting oil on canvas but also on
paper.
Her art has been widely accepted by private
collectors and is available in 9 major
galleries in the United States. She has
enjoyed participating in numerous one-man
shows and also two-man shows with husband,
Carlo DiNapoli.
Teaching/Art Experience:
Renee has an extensive teaching career which
began with an eleven year stint in New
Orleans teaching private classes
as well
as many art centers. She has taught or is
now teaching with her husband, master
artist, Carlo DiNapoli at the following:
Sarasota Bay Club
The Oaks Club
Education Center, Longboat Key
Englewood Art Center
Selby Gardens
Mote Marine
Art League of Bonita Springs
Art Center Manatee
Art and Frame
USF – Senior Academy, Sarasota campus
Private classes – artists’ studio
She and her husband also developed a
successful art program for children and
adults at the YMCA’s in Sarasota County.
She has developed sensitivity to the needs
of the individual student. She seeks the
weak points in her students and concentrates
on improving their skills.
